BATTERIES

Batteries, defined by law as Industrial Accumulators or for Vehicles, are widespread because they include both accumulators that enable the starting of cars, motorcycles and boats, and those used for industrial purposes.

Industrial batteries are mainly divided into two categories:

  • those that provide energy to the traction vehicle to the electric motor, such as forklift trucks, golf cars, cleaning machines and electric vehicles in general;
  • those powering UPS, such as the positioning lights, the electrical cabinets on the networks that provide power, the electronic notice marks that can be found along the highways.

Accumulators for vehicles are used to start, light and ignite power into vehicles that are cars, trucks, vehicles for military use, motorcycles, campers and boats. It is important not to release used batteries into the environment because the acids and pollutants contained in them represent a serious threat to the environment and to human health.

Proper waste management also makes possible the recovery of the material contained in the waste, that can be reused.
